This hotel is a few blocks from Paddington Station and so is very convenient for both trains and Underground. The staff was charming and helpful. The included breakfast was delicious, with several options, and was served by friendly people. It was on a street of beautiful historic houses (many of which are not hotels).

I liked the idea of supporting a family-owned business and being situated near two tube stations. Unfortunately, at this price point you will have much better options in the same neighborhood. The staff was very friendly and attentive. However, the dated decor throughout the property was so depressing that I dreaded returning to my room each evening.

Great location. Great staff. Nice historic building. But the room itself was far from great. It was very small with poor quality firnishings. The bed and pillows o were uncomfortably hard. No air conditioning. For a daily rate of about $240US (180 pounds), we expected micj better. Regarding the room itself, it felt like a low-end Motel 6 for price of a nice Hyatt or Hilton. Older hotel that has been well maintained. Perfectly nice breakfast, you can choose what you like off the menu, in any combination. Everything was tasty. Only suggestion would be to keep the orange juice cold. But it’s England! The staff were superb friendly helpful, would definitely return there if in London.

Room was clean, staff was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was available onsite and was quite generous with several choices. Property is a bit dated but very clean and everything was in good working order. Beds were comfortable. It is in a great area with a tube stop just around the block, along with many restaurants and shops. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

Unfortunately our stay was very brief as booking was to attend BST Hyde Park on Sunday July 13th. The event was cancelled due to ELO not able to play due to illness. So, because of this, we decided our stay was now unnecessary. I have emailed Hotels.com but as of yet, they HAVE NOT had the decency to reply back. As for the hotel, although brief, i thought the hotel was great and the staff were brilliant. If i had to stay around Hyde Park, i would not hesitate in using this hotel.

A treasure

PERFECT hotel for budget travellers looking to get more than you paid for! Hotel is in a ideal location near Paddington station. It's clean with comfortable beds and EXCEPTIONAL staff. The plated breakfast is served restaurant style adding that lovely extra touch. 100% recommended!

Great location

Hotel is in an excellent location, between Paddington and Hyde Park, so ideal for getting around London. Staff were all friendly, and the hotel was clean and well maintained if a little dated. Only issue was that my room on the 4th floor was incredibly hot, and there is no air conditioning - luckily a desk fan was provided but I had to leave it on all night to make the temperature bearable. Would stay here again if I needed to be in this part of London but not in the summer.

Ideal location, and the staff was absolutely fantastic. They were personable, friendly and went a little extra to make sure we were comfortable. No A.C… but I feel this was the norm so we adjusted, and again the staff made it all the better. Highly recommend this little hotel.

It is probably in need of a bit of updating, but apart from that, ideal location, very nice staff, breakfast was very with good selection, bar prices were the cheapest we had in london and overall a very pleasant stay. We will stay here again.
