I rarely write reviews for hotel stays, but here goes. I spent one night in this hotel because it was close to a concert. I was seeing that evening. As a whole, the hotel itself is clean and in a pretty decent location for the price offered on hotels.com. That said during my stay the AC unit in my room was insanely loud. Unfortunately I didn’t realize this until after hours, so I just had to deal with it. When I was checking out, I let reception know. I then sent an email to the hotel itself with a video, including the noise.It took another email to finally get a response. I asked that they make this right and that I travel through San Antonio quite often. The best they could do to make things right would be offering a 10% discount on my next stay. No thank you. They encouraged me to address further concerns with hotels.com.

Letti is an angel. She was bartending Sunday night and she connects with people so well. A true gem! Makayla was also a sweetheart! The decor was stunning, food and drinks were great. A whole vibe. The ladies with pink and red hair at check-in are so beautiful and welcoming- the valet staff were perfection as I was in town for a funeral- I really felt taken care of and like I picked the perfect place- there was so much light in the room because I got the junior suite with two queen beds and a queen pullout and one whole wall is a window. AC works amazing. Me and my mom walked the Riverwalk across the street. Thanks for existing Riverwalk Plaza Hotel. Your stuff comforted me while I was grieving and that is not their job. I will forever be grateful.

For an older property (Historical) this is a nice place to stay. All the staff we met, were terrific and couldn’t do enough for you. Also, very conveniently located to the Riverwalk and surrounding historical sites - Alamo, Missions, etc., all within walking distance.

The hotel needs a renovation. The room was dingy, bathroom was incredibly small. Shower did not get warm. Elevator was not reliable and stairwell was disgusting and probably never cleaned. Overall I would not recommend this hotel. Only redeeming features were that Staff were nice and respectful and that it's relatively close to the downtown Riverwalk area. But definitely not a "nice" hotel.

The location was great—right off the Riverwalk, which made getting around downtown super convenient. The stay overall was okay, but a few things made it less enjoyable than it could’ve been. The bed was pretty uncomfortable, and cleanliness could use serious improvement. The bathroom mirror was dirty, there was some sticky residue on the floor, and the light above the bed didn’t work. The biggest disappointment was The Gavel restaurant. It was clearly understaffed, and their posted hours didn’t match when they were actually open. Even when it wasn’t busy, food orders took 40 minutes or more, and the food came out cold every time. Great location, but with better maintenance and service, this place could be much more worth the stay.

This hotel is a great little place to stay… great location! I was very much impressed with them constantly checking in with you to make sure that you were comfortable and had everything that you needed. I will definitely stay there again as it had great prices and service.

The hotel, room and bathroom were very clean. The hotel offered meals in their restaurant. They have a full bar with access to meals and appetizers. The valet service is very efficient. The best part if the hotel is the location. It is within walking distance to the river walk, great restaurants, the Alamo, and the Alamodome
