Book Sé hotels

I stayed at this hotel from Monday to Sunday. The breakfast offered both hot and cold items, along with fruit and pastries, though the selection became repetitive after several days. The WiFi was also quite slow throughout my stay.The day before check‑out, I noticed several bite‑like marks on my skin. I reported this to the front desk and was told there were no available rooms to move to, but they could change the linens. At check‑out, the incident wasn’t mentioned until I brought it up myself, and the response felt dismissive. After returning home, I continued to experience delayed reactions from the bites. I contacted the hotel, but they stated that their inspection found no evidence of bugs. While I appreciate that they checked the room, the experience was uncomfortable and not handled with much concern.

Great small hotel right in the centre of Funchal. Comfortable room and nice breakfast. The Guest Relations coordinator, Carolina, is wonderful. She was so helpful, kind and patient. Listened to us and found the right tours and places for us to visit ant to eat. She is a total credit to the hotel. 🙏

We liked our room. Good size and enjoyed the side sea view from the balcony. (Might have paid for an upgrade but can’t remember) ok, the decor was quite dated but it added to the character of the place. The gardens were lovely and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast wasn’t the highlight of the day but you won’t starve and the price was very reasonable compared to hotels in Funchal. Would stay again.
