Disappointed

When I made the reservation months ahead of time I booked a room on top floor with a view. When we got to the room our view was a wall. When I called down to the front desk they informed me that no rooms with a view were available and just because my reservation said that doesn’t guarantee a view. I guess I don’t understand why they offer that in the reservation option then
