Older property but charming and very well maintained. Located just a block from the Seattle waterfront and famous Pike Place Market. Discounted covered parking about two blocks away. Friendly professional staff. Highly recommended!

Great location, terrible maintenance

Hotel looked like it had a cool old fashioned vibe but turns out it was just old. Didn’t seem very well maintained. Elevator was squeaky and could be heard from down the hall. Room wasn’t cleaned thoroughly. There was a condom wrapper under the bed. Location is fantastic though. Just a block from pike place and a few from the water front.

This hotel is in a great location, and our room was large with a comfortable bed. But we left with mixed feelings about the place. Our room, which faced other rooms right across the interior atrium, was painted a dark green and was sparsely furnished. It was dark and pretty uninviting. No free bottled water. Ugh. Our check-in was smooth, but not exactly welcoming, and there was no mention of a perk related to my Expedia VIP status. The two bright spots were the friendly cleaning staff on our floor and the wonderful waiter (thanks William!) who served us excellent food at breakfast and happy hour in Hart and Hunter. We would consider Palihotel for a future stay, but it would not be our first choice.

The staff here was amazingly attentive without being overbearing. I felt like Eric, who was working the front desk, was an owner of the property. He seemed to genuinely care about us. It was an unexpected yet welcome surprise. The property itself is fun and quirky. You won’t feel like you’re staying at a chain. Rather you will feel the uniqueness of this charming building. It is an easy walk to Pike with great restaurants, fresh fish, handmade cheese, and handcrafts. Pioneer Square is about ½ mile away. I’d stay here again!
