It is clean and in a convenient location if you’re looking for a walkable hotel from the nightlife in Itaewon however, all the reviews are true if you are a light sleeper do NOT book here. Only other issue is the AC is central so you can’t adjust the room temperature as much as you like so can be an issue when it gets hot.

The property was located in a convenient location- but from 10pm the noise from the surrounding night clubs echoed through the whole hotel and I actually thought I was inside the night club- it continued on until 6am until it closed- I didn’t get any sleep what so ever- we were supposed to stay on Sunday night but we decided to leave the hotel as the night club was opened on the Sunday night. I don’t know how anyone could get any sleep in that hotel. Also the website displayed pictures of the pool on the premises- the pool wasn’t opened and was reopening on the 20 June- files advertising. I understand that this area has a lot of night clubs but you should be able to sleep in a hotel. Very disappointed

If this hotel were in a different area it would be perfectly fine, but as there are extremely loud parties every day until 6am in the clubs surrounding the hotel, and there‘s barely any noise cancellation/insulation (incl bed vibration…) you just cannot sleep! The hotel provides earplugs- but they don’t really help either.

Overall, we had a good experience at the Hamilton Hotel. Let’s start with the positives: 1) Centrally located in Itaewon which has an international atmosphere. Lots of global food options including Turkish, Indian, and South African cuisine. Walking distance to a grocery store and cafes. 2) It is mere feet from the Itaewon subway stop. Very convenient! Lots of taxi cabs in the area. And located near bus stops. 3) The staff were friendly. Check-in and check-out went smoothly. The cleaning staff were generous when we asked for extra towels. 4) Our room was a moderate size with two single beds (comfortable), closet, bathroom, etc. We had a lovely view on the 8th floor. The bidet in the bathroom was incredible! Okay, now a few things to note if you stay at the hotel. 1) Itaewon is THE place for young adults to go clubbing and bar hopping. If you enjoy nightlife, then the Hamilton Hotel is perfect. It is going to get loud at night. There is a bar on the second floor of the hotel. Fortunately, I can sleep through anything so I was fine. But know that Thursday through Sunday, you can feel the pulsating dance music. So, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for families with kids. 2) As mentioned before, the rooms are fine. But, you can tell that things are a little outdated. The carpet was a little old. The television was small. The bathroom had a small sink and mirror was terrible lighting if you want to make your face up in the morning.

It's a shame to review the hotel this low, the hotel itself is really lovely. Absolutely huge for the price, and clean and tidy. However, when I booked it, I saw a lot of reviews talking about the sound. "I'll be fine" I thought. "I've camped in festivals a thousand times, stayed in hotels in party districts all over the world and I've never had a problem." Famous last words. This hotel is LOUD LOUD. Earplugs do nothing. I had to sleep with my headphones in every night playing soft gentle piano music on sound blocking mode and even then sometimes the music would seep through. I hope you like "party rock anthem", 'cause you're gonna hear it A LOT. Do yourself a favour and listen to the reviews. Unless you really can sleep through anything, don't book this hotel. The music from the clubs goes on until at least 4am every single day (6ish on weekends). I hope the hotel can figure out some soundproofing, because I feel really bad leaving this review, and would have rated it highly if it wasn't for the sound. Sadly, the sound issues render it's entire existence as a hotel almost pointless, and they have a strict no-refunds policy which, whilst not abnormal, does feel like it exists because of how many people wanted to get a refund and find a different hotel so they could actually sleep.

The hotel facilities are very misleading. There is a sign that says gym, but they closed it end of last year. The pool only operates from June-August but it doesn’t say that anywhere. They don’t provide extra blankets, and extra water is a charge. The only positive is in May the clubs aren’t super busy so noise wasn’t an issue for us.

Super convenient if you like to go out, I had fun going to the bars behind the hotel. However I am a HEAVY sleeper and the music woke me up at 4 am… They provide ear plugs and water every day, the room was spacious and cleaned every day as well. I would book there again.

Hotel is located right next to loud bars and even has a club inside the hotel which is loud. If you can sleep through loud music then the hotel is nice. However the rooms are definitely dated and could use with an upgrade on the tv and other in room things.

If you want to sleep DONT stay here! They should mention on their website that the clubs and bars from itaewon can be heard in your room even with the windows closed. No soundproofing. And they don't issue refunds either. For a big hotel, this is extremely poor. I repeat - do not stay here

There is a noisy club just next door that plays loud music every day all night until 5am! We have to put on ear plugs every night. If you don’t mind the noise, it’s actually a good hotel, good location and they give you huge discount to use their excellent Korean bathhouse in the basement.
