A beautiful place to stay

Service was great! The common areas are beautiful. It is an older hotel, but the rooms were well furnished and charming. I deducted one star because the air conditioning was not very cool, but other than that it was all good.

Grand old hotel that is a step back in time. The hotel itself is worth exploring with its special spaces devoted to its history. Prime location within steps of Archway Park and less than half mile from Busch Stadium. But you don’t have to worry about walking to the latter because the hotel provides a shuttle to and from games. Walls are a bit thin in the rooms but they are comfortable and clean. Highly recommend it to anyone.

It was a beautiful hotel with a lot of history. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfy and room was clean. Only disappointment was the noise from outside and coming from the door vent.

This hotel is situated in an impressive, historic building that is listed as a historical landmark. The lobby has an antique feel to it and the woodwork is amazing. That said, the room was on the small side. The shower had almost no water pressure and took quite a while to get hot. There was no refrigerator but none was advertised. Some will find the hotel dated but I thought it was like stepping into a history book in a good way.

I was looking for accommodations near the America's Center Convention Center. The Missouri Athletic Club had rooms within our price range. The building itself is magnificent, with classic early twentieth century decor and ambience. We never knew such a classic existed in downtown St. Louis. But we'll never forget it.

Very loud street noise!!

The lobby was beautiful and very clean and the staff was very nice, the room however did not match the cleanliness of the lobby. Big stains on floor, air conditioner was very weak & our room was too warm. And the street traffic noise was beyond loud!! Cars (the loud ones with the annoying exhaust) were racing & revving til at least 3am!!
