Quiet get away in Lofoten

This fishing cabin is located on a marina away from the tourist towns on the Lofoten Island s with quick access to the main road E10. The cabin has everything you need with basic furniture. Good location to explore the area. The photo was taken from the jetty, looking towards the cabin we stayed at. The red one on the left. The cabin is located next to the hostel rooms. We stayed at the end of the tourist season, so there were not many staying in the hostel.

Beautiful location with great views. No air conditioning, but that only mattered the first two days due to a cooking trend. The stairs to the second floor were difficult to navigate and didn’t feel safe. Onsite laundry was appreciated.

Great views but there were rats

We arrived earlier (3h before check in, which is quite late at 17h) and we hadn't received any message about the room. The address in Google maps wasn't the right one, it is the one written on the website. At the end, when we managed to find the place, we called the owner (who is not there) and the answering machine was in Norwegian which is also not great for foreigners... We got to the phone with the owner and he was very nice and let us enter earlier and gave us the biggest room. Apart from us, there were no more guests. The room had great views but could be better maintained. During the evening we could hear noises outside the room and thought someone was entering the building but actually no one was there. During the night it happened the same until we realized it was rats moving around and above. It wasn't the greatest feeling and felt insecure.

La vue, même magnifique, ne peut pas suffire. Votre sommeil et votre détente dépendront de vos voisins. Même s'ils sont d'une discrétion et d'une attention totales, vous entendrez tout ce qui se passe dans les autres chambres comme si vous étiez tous dans la même : vibration d'un téléphone mobile, pets, mouchage, brossage de dents... même le frottement du balais sur le plancher !
