Excellent location and views

Really good. Location, view,friendliness,cleanliness and condition in Ortigia Portamarina makes us want to get back asap. Limited hours at reception but all our needs were taken care of.

The property is located very conveniently and one can access the entire island by foot. The reason I booked the property was because of its large exclusive balcony terrace facing the water. The view was great and the staff was quite friendly. There was no good place to sit on the terrace as the iron bench was rusted and had no cushions. I asked the staff for the same but never received any. Also the bathroom had a fowl smell. There was no ventilation fan in the bathroom either. Overall still had a very nice time in Ortigia.

We had a great time in Ortigia. The hotel is in a really convenient location and close to all the restaurants and shops. Our stay was really comfortable and the staff was lovely and really accommodating to our needs.

Great place to enjoy Siracusa

Giovanna and Manuale, both of the ladies, made the stay an exceptional experience. They were always ready to help with suggestions about the food and beach places that were out of the reach of tourists and were very supportive during the entire stay. By the way, the suite with the terrace provides a stunning view of the sea and sunset. The property is close to the city center as well to the main bus lines.

Location is perfect - within 5-10 minutes walking from everything. But in a quiet street. Bed was comfortable. Staff was very nice. View from the terrace was great. I would love to be able to return there again.

Super rooms, friendly service in a great location

Great position near the marina. Wonderful views over the sea. Noemi could not have been more helpful, directing us to the parking just outside the hotel, giving us a coffee on arrival, recommending excellent restaurants for dinner and breakfast and what else to see in Syracuse. Tradtional style bedrooms with a big comfy bed and modern bathrooms - just need a couple of pictures on the wall...

This hotel is in perfect location in order to visit Ortigia but also the archeological site of Siracusa on the other side of the bridge.

The location is perfect for a Catania visit. You are right in the centre of everything. The suites are an oasis of peace amongst the bustle of the city. Luca is a great host and Agata provides great service! Great place to stay

Good things : excellent location close to the marina and the central area of Ortigia. Room was comfortable and fine for our one night stay. The sole receptionist ?Laura helped us with our parking crisis as we could not find our car park we had chosen to avoid the ZTL and ended up entering it. Things to know before booking: you need to be able to carry your own bags upstairs as there is no elevator and no assistance available. You need to make an arrival appointment time as the staff member is not on site. There is no usable fridge in the room for guests' drinks or any complementary water. Breakfast starts at 0815 and there is no flexibility in this, but as it is an extra charge you can choose to go to many nearby cafes instead. We were happy with this property for a one night stay.

Excellent Location - Beautiful B&B

Beautiful location! Right on the water, right in the historic wall. EVERYTHING was in walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! A/C was fantastic, which is so nice after a hot day of walking around and site seeing. No elevator, but we didn't mind. The bathroom was very nice. Only one suggestion - a full length mirror would be nice for getting dressed for dinner. There was only the mirror in the bathroom, That's my only "complaint."

Prime location. Easy parking, then walkable to all the major sites, restaurants, shopping areas, and more. Classically beautiful rooms are well-maintained and offer the right amount of space for living and sleeping while enjoying Ortigia. Updated bathrooms with a great shower and bidet to stay clean in the hot weather! Staff was friendly, communicative, and helpful. Felt very safe in Ortigia in general, and the entrance/location of the B&B reinforced that feeling by being off the main drag. Logistically this is excellent if you have a car so you are not navigating the winding, tight streets of the island - very close to the northern entrance to the island so you can avoid traffic in the main square. Would come back to stay and next time, for longer at the B&B Porta Marina Ortigia!
