This hotel is great for a one night stay. I stayed at the hotel for three nights and I did not spend much time there. The sheets were soft and the recent renovation made the rooms very nice and my bathroom was very clean but everything else about the hotel made it feel shabby. Also, the walls are very thin. If your neighbour had the TV on, you could hear what they were playing. The lobby smelt like moldy water, the women receptionists treated me better than the men, the elevator was in a very poor condition- the paint job is terrible and it’s an old elevator so it’s finicky. Breakfast was very limited, they only had three hot options (usually pork sausage, scrambled/omelette eggs, seasoned potatoes), oatmeal, pastries and a very bad pancake maker. The juice machine only dispensed orange juice as well. There are good and bad characteristics to this hotel. If you are looking for a place only to sleep, this is the one for you. Also it’s hard to navigate where to turn into the parking lot, especially at night, because of a tiny Holiday Inn sign that’s outshined by the Candlewood Suites sign.

The woman at checkin was rude, condescending, decidedly unhelpful, and lied to me about working with 3rd party to resolve booking date error. I offered to rebook and was told hotel was fully booked but went to website and it showed available rooms. I’m a Black man and so the optics and impact upon me were outrageously negative.

A message sent to the owner and GM: My wife and I arrived at your hotel at approximately 1 AM early this past Sunday morning, after having made a reservation through Expedia several weeks earlier.  After we had called the hotel for a shuttle from the airport, which arrived promptly, we were greeted by an embarrassed Ashley, who told us that there were no rooms, despite our having a reservation.  We were taken aback at this turn of events, at 1 AM, after having traveled since 7 AM from out of the country.  She told us that the hotel had been overbooked, which was really unconscionable.  In the midst of our astonishment, however, I was quite impressed with Ashley, and how far out of her way she went to get us alternative lodging elsewhere (not available) and how sincerely concerned she seemed about our situation.  She showed tremendous empathy, and you are very lucky she works for you.  Her late night associate - I believe his name was Mohammed - was almost as helpful as Ashley.  As you likely heard, we were eventually able to secure a room at the hotel due to a very early departure of another client. However, the situation in which we found ourselves was inexcusable.  This was compounded by the shoddiness of your property.  At most, this hotel merits a "poor" rating.  The hotel is in a state of disrepair, is dirty, and is generally rundown.  Your greatest assets are your personnel.  Otherwise, the hotel does not warrant any clientele.  This will be reviewed in Expedia.

The stay was nice. The check in process was fast and easy. I was disappointed that our tv was not working ion our room. I called the front desk to see if it could be fixed and the front desk person said, Oh does the tv say "no signal"? I said, yes and she told me that the guy that can fix that is not here on the weekends. She offered to move me to a different room and I declined. Really annoying and she knew what the problem was. Get someone in to fix the tv.
