Book Brend Hotels Taunton accommodation from NZ$89

This is our 2nd trip to Exeter for a University visit. On both occasions we stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott and both tumes we have been impressed by the friendy, helpful staff and how clean and well maintained the hotel is kept. At breakfast there is a fantastic choice of cereal, pastries, fruit. cold meats and a cooked breakfast.

The rooms are lovely & clean. Was in room 47 very large king size room with bath tub bathroom. Slept very well, despite noise at 6:30ish am from noisy neighbours. The are the staff are friendly and fantastic can’t do enough to help you. Downsides they do not serve breakfasts (which I think would be amazing if they did) and the hotel used to have a pool but they no longer has it as was filled in and turned into a gym. Easy access to Barry town and Barry island. Car park is small and on a slope and can get very busy. But if you are disabled and have a blue badge they put a sign out and reserve a space for you.

Nice hotel and good to be supporting a charity, loved the historical nature of the property

We were happy with our room apart from it said it was a king, and it was only a double bed. I never find them very comfortable to share. The history of the pub, breakfast room, location and parking were all appreciated. We would recommend it.

Nice clean room, tv in room signal not good at times, staff friendly , good choice of food available both evening meal and breakfast. A small hiccup with food order in the evening but rectified when paid for.

Facilities are absolutely amazing… great gym, sauna steam room and pool. Room was a bit tired. Food really let it down. Evening meal food wasn’t even Wetherspoons quality, but was expensive and the service was absolutely terrible. Breakfast however was great, and only waited 20 mins for poached eggs which was a bonus. Ate in the Golf Club cafe at lunchtime which was a complete disaster… not really helped by the rude food manager… DO NOT go over to eat there, unless you have 2 hours to spare and actually don’t want to eat what you ordered. We will not be back
