Disappointing This Time

My 3rd time here in the last 3 years for Mets Spring Training. I'm a big fan of the hotel but this time the place was overrun by college or high school baseball players (I didn't care to learn more about them). They practically took over the whole pool area and hot tub every day and night. Throwing footballs around in the pool, splashing anyone that sat close to the pool area. 9 kids at a time in the hot tub all day long, music blasting away. A few of us "older" people were very annoyed - it was impossible to ever use the hot tub or enjoy the pool. There was no supervision of these kids from a coach or chaperone and seemed like they were free to do whatever they wanted. I've stayed here many times in the 1990's and, as mentioned, 3 times in the past 3 years but I think next year we will look for a place that is not so accommodating to unruly and unsupervised teenagers.

Highly Recommend

This is a very old hotel that could use a few updates, but, in general, it is well-kept and the bedding and bathrooms are always clean. The grounds are trash free and very accessible to local entities. My husband and I book a room here anytime that we are in town since we used to live in the area for 45 years.

Spring Training Getaway

Was there to catch a game at Clover Park, stayed two nights. Large room furnished and layed out well. Pool and hot tub clean and well kept. Would recommend and stay again for the cost.

Staff very courteous. They accommodated our request for a room off the main road. That was wonderful. Bed was comfortable, shower pressure awesome. Room decor outdated and a little dirty but… for one night it served our purpose.

Very clean

One of the more reasonably priced hotels in the area. The access to the rooms are outdoor. The rooms and the grounds were extremely clean. They had a large pool with a nice hot tub, which was a bonus since most hotels get rid of their hot tubs nowadays. I would’ve liked to have seen doors that closed off the bathroom sink. This was an all suite hotel so you had a pull out couch with a tv and on the other side was another large TV for the bed area. Nice variety of hot food for breakfast.

It was reasonably priced. The only knock on my stay is the room (209S) I was in, the shower curtain was bent and didn't provide enough coverage for water not to flood the floor. Also, the tub filled with water while running the shower (drainage issue).

For the price - so close to the Mets' Clover Park, in high season- this was a deal. But room designs stink (the toilet's in a closet, where it's hit by a door; HVAC noisy) and there's a smoking area, the gazebo, by the pool, so you inhale nicotine during your swim. Comfy bed and clean pool area, but garbage left outside people's rooms remained even after housekeeper made her stops.

It seemed like people lived in this hotel. Bikes chained to outdoor upstairs railings. Was not in a good area. Kept driving after looking around outside of this motel even though I had it booked and it was non refundable.
