We were called because we had a room with 2 beds and they wanted to upgrade us to a room with a theme, one was king one was queen. We took the king in the hollywood room. We were happy to see the jacuzzi but the shower had a clear opening to the bedroom. Which was fine butbi had a shower curtain sent up because you cluld see the toilet in the mirror through the shower and we didnt want to watch eachother take a sh$t. When we got into our room that night we had a quick bath in the jacuzzi. Then we got a movie. First the jacuzzi did a 1 minute blow out. Very loud but we saw it in the manual so we paused the movie and it was fine. Then about q0 minutes later it started blowing out agin. It went for 25 minjtes. I went down to the front desk and a maintenance associate came and met me at the room. It turned off right befor ehe got there. He said it does a half hour blow out. We were confused but whatever. Press play on our movie. Minutes later ut starts again. I go down to the desk and maintennace is gone for the night and the fellow says they cant give us another room and asks what i want. I told him a quiet room, turn off the tub? Anytbing??? After taking a video and going down 2 more times finally they gwt a janitor to switch off the breaker to the tub. It had been going for close to an hour in total. Just completely ridiculous. We didnt watch the movie and went to sleep. Thabkfully they comped the movie. Juat an unpleasent experience.

Enjoyed our stay but the hotel overall is quite dated and in need of major renovations and upgrades. We loved our room though! We won’t be staying at the Fantasyland Hotel again as it’s just not our style, we prefer quieter spots that are less busy. Thank you!

Very friendly staff. It’s convenient to shop and go back to the hotel when we needed a little break. We didn’t worry about driving around Edmonton, because there are so many stores to pick from for our shopping and dining needs.

Generally fine. I only stayed one night and picked this hotel for the simple convenience. The beds are nice. The staff were awesome. Everything was outdated and getting run down. In our room on the 8th floor, it smelled like cigarette smoke. We don't smoke and that was gross but fine. Then the next morning, I was going to shower, I turn it on and it was getting steamy and that's when it started to smell so bad like cigarettes, I was grossed out. Then the tub would not drain. Like literally I had to turn the shower off and on over and over to wash and rinse so the tub didn't get too full. It took more than qn hour to drain. I called maintenance and they were happy enough to come fix it but since I was only there for the one night, they couldn't fix it for me to use. Dealing with the hotel after the fact for any sort of customer service or compensation isn't possible. Not a huge deal because I was still able to shower, which was the goal so I guess thats fine. I probably won't go again.

Property looks nice and staff is super friendly and helpfull. Maintenance of the property should be brought up to standard. Drainage of shower was super slow, door to room was very difficult to close and latch and we only found out when someone that don’t belong in our room entered by mistake since door latch was not full. Have to push on door very hard to close completely. Noise could hear the upstairs people using shower for around 3 hours from 1030 pm until 130 am and every time they moved a chair it resonated very loud in our unit. Also air vent in bathroom was not pulling much air. Hair dryer was very weak. Location itself was very convenient.
