Nice room but heat did not work the first night, called and no response. Spoke with Mgr the next morning, and she moved us to another room second night. They knew there was a problem with heat as portable heaters were in the dining area. Said they would reimburse first night, then refused to do so. Wife and I were sick with colds as a result. This is not a 4 or 3 star Hotel, motel 8 does better

My stay in DC was unexpected and due to it being the week before the inauguration, availability was limited and prices were inflated. *For the price; this hotel wasn’t the worst place I’ve ever stayed, but it definitely needs a thorough, deep cleaning. The bed skirt had unidentifiable dried matter on it, (ick!) and the bathroom floor had long hairs along the baseboards and tub. I always carry Lysol wipes, and I definitely used them. (I checked in at 9pm, and did not notice these things until the light of the next day!) *The check in staff was courteous and professional. *Did not have an opportunity to partake in the free breakfast, as I had to leave too early on the couple of days I stayed there.

Great place to stay

Good location

The king room was really large and clean, with a kitchenette and a work desk. Location is also great, within walking distance to many restaurants and walking distance to subway station for Washington. Breakfast was nothing fancy but had the regular eggs and bacon, cereals, milk... Overall it was a good stay, except the strong fan for the heating that was blowing too hard, and couldn't be adjusted down...so we had to shut off the heat during night...which was ok.
