Im very please with the hotel , its clean and in a good location, the staff were very helpful. I definitely recommend it to anyone that needs to stay in DC. I went with family for two nights to see the monuments it’s about 30 min away from the Capital but i didn’t mind it was a nice drive .

The room was nice and clean. Parking and location were convenient. However, the walls were thin and some front desk staff weren’t the nicest.
We went to stay in D.C. overnight and Doubletree by Hilton was the least expensive and close to the Metro. The hotel was clean and the rooms were perfect for us. The staff was so incredibly friendly. Every single person we spoke to was kind and helpful. I'd definitely stay there again!!

My Check in Experience was Absolutely Horrible
James, front desk clerk, began to display an attitude and it could have escalated into an argument.
I inquired about where would I have been informed about the $200 fee that was being charged to me upon check in (that I was not prepared to pay aside from the approx. $353 cost of my 2 day stay that I paid upon check in). And I informed him of the signs posted about the hotel’s parking costs, that appeared to be misleading to me based on how he was explaining it.
James seemingly and noticeably became agitated with my inquiries and even stated twice and with an attitude, “I told you that.”
I was shocked that he said it as if he thought that was a professional and respectful way to address me. I had to restrain from using harsh language due to him causing me to become angered by his unprofessional and discourteous conduct.
I would recommend that James receive additional training that would prepare him to be more professional and courteous to guests checking in wherein they may have a range of questions regarding their stay. In addition to a required day off without compensation for him to reflect on there are consequences to the decisions we make, especially in a professional/work environment.
Due to traveling/driving several hours and arriving at approximately 11pm and having this horrible check in experience, made for not a good start to my business event the following day.

The front desk staff Maisha and Temee were super professional and very friendly. They were very helpful in making sure that our stay at the Doubletree was comfortable.
Although we didn’t stay at the double tree inn as planned, the kids really wanted to swim and this hotel only had outdoor pool, we decided to choose a different location. Myesha was so helpful with assisting us on finding another hotel that was close. Her customer service was definitely at a 10!
Our interest started with the location of the hotel and quickly peaked with its feel and immediate surroundings. We felt safe, on and off the property, connected with the city, and loved the neighborhood. It was right next to a bank, across the street from a deli, and blocks from a theater and mall. Will definitely return for a visit. We loved our stay.
