Very good

The bed was very comfortable; the bathroom was great. The room was on the small side - but entirely reasonable for the price. The front desk was very accommodating, courteous, and kind. I will definitely pick The Architect again.

Amaziing front desk
Front desk check lady was amazing - room was ok.
Pillow was flat and hard.
A decent hotel in an amazing location. Room was good-sized and bathroom was huge. Both were spotless. Shower had ample hot water. The air conditioner vacillated between too hot and too cold. I'm glad the hotel had spare blankets!

Great location. Hotel is a bit outdated and tiny rooms
The room had lots of charm and was unique, but the hotel (both common areas and the room) felt run down and it could use some modernization. It was unfortunate we couldn't turn off the bathroom fan while the light was on, it was incredibly loud and jarring in the middle of the night. The AC unit was effective, but also loud and made it difficult to sleep. Our keycard also stopped working a few times, but staff were great and always resolved it really quickly. In all, the staff were great, the room was clean, but the hotel as a whole could use some modernization and amenities.
The property’s location is very central, which is its main advantage. However, the rooms are very dated and in need of renovation. There was no fridge, and the room had an old, musty smell. No slippers were provided either, which was a bit inconvenient.
Our safe wasn’t working, so we had to contact the front desk a couple of times. Thankfully, the staff was helpful and responsive.
Overall, I would only recommend staying here for the location- don’t expect much in terms of comfort or modern amenities.
Building is a bit old, but it's in a great location and the staff was very nice

It was fine
Just a place to stay. Clean small rooms. Polite but purely transactional check in. No water or coffee in room. They put a $150 hold on your card above and beyond the room price. Ice machine can be found down in the basement.

Secret agents following me and other guests
Well I'm going to be completely honest with you I was at the lobby and two Secret Service agents came in handsome guys and they smiled at me and they went to the front desk and I was on my phone and I'm like that's well why would these guys look back at me and smile I further hear very well and I heard them tell them tell the front desk agent that they were secret agents and that they are looking for an Andrew Lima and the customer service or the front desk manager whatever she was the agent the customer service rep just someone at the front desk she opens the computer and she literally prints out any details of Andrew Lima that took place and she had it to them and they said thank you very much do not tell anyone we're looking for them that we asked about this and they walked out with all of the information on Andrew Lima I don't know who he is but all I know is I'll never stay there again and this is the case in the previous Hotel I stayed at and then another dynamic
Lovely small hotel, clean and comfortable room with lots of character (open brick, wood panel). Took 20 minutes to check in but check out was a breeze.
The location is great, 9 min walking to the White House easily.
The room, furniture old dated. The heating/Cooling system was awful, so loud and disturbing that I turned it off.
