We are beyond thankful for our stay at the Shangri-La. It was the most peaceful, wonderful part of our stay, which would not have been the same if we had chosen a different hotel. Absolutely beautiful place, amazing breakfasts in the morning, and every detail is taken care of for you. Impeccable cleanliness and very attentive staff! If you plan on going to Cayman and need a location to set out from each day to visit beaches, trails and other sights I would highly recommend. The shared pool and hot tub area was quiet and clean with hammocks and loungers available without the crowds or bugs. I can't say enough about the warmth of the hostess. We made a mistake with our safe and she carried a new one to our room within a couple minutes! We did not do a full breakfast each morning but bagels and bread and coffee were still provided. Fantastic stay, thank you Rose!

Shangri-La Bed and Breakfast is a great property! Lush landscaping and waterfront property with a pool and hot tub. Rose, the innkeeper, was amazing and friendly. She inquired after us constantly and was so accommodating. The neighborhood seems mixed development, some less well maintained properties and apartments mixed in with Shangri-La. As we drove in, we wondered if we were in the right place. You are further away from the action on the westside of Grand Cayman so be sure to rent a car. There is a resort fee and if you wish a full breakfast that’s extra, otherwise Rose sets out coffee and pastries. I would definitely recommend.

We stayed at this property while in Grand Cayman and it was perfect! Rosa made sure we were comfortable and taken care of the entire time. Close enough to the main attractions/beach without being in the middle of everything. Grounds are well kept. The best little getaway! If we ever return to Grand Cayman, we will be returning to Shangri-La.

Property was very comfortable and the host was super friendly. Pool area and outside relaxing was great! Nice restaurants within 5 minutes and 7-mile beach also less than 10 min away. Optional full breakfast was delicious! I would definitely return and stay here in the future. The only negative feedback is that it is located behind a couple of local houses which could be cleaned up but the B&B property was beautiful.

It was worth it

Absolutely stunning place and excellent service. The positive reviews are true so don’t second guess when booking. Worth every penny and you’ll definitely feel at home. The room was spacious and clean and even better with the balcony. Breakfast is freshly done every morning with daily shopping for the next day’s meal and Rose was able to provide alternatives for foods that I don’t eat (I especially loved the blueberry French toast). Would recommend you either have your own car or arranged pick up though, but it’s a quick drive to the main areas. Thank you very much Rose and family. If I’m ever back in Cayman, I’d stay again.

I apologize I didn't submit this EXCELLENT review sooner. Life gets busy. Anyhow, this was an amazing B&B. Rose was SO helpful and kind. Beautiful room, walkable location to some excellent restaurants. I love this island to begin with and was absolutely impressed with this property. We WILL be back. Highly recommend.

This place is a quiet oasis from the busy towns. Staff are so nice and accommodating, there's even swimming gear you can use when you go to the beach, free of charge. For additomal fees, they serve breakfast that is delicious! Rose is the nicest lady and i will definitely come back again, and would recommend to friends!

Splendid Serenity: A Delightful Stay at Shangri-La

My friend and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Shangri-La Bed and Breakfast and I must say, it was a truly exceptional experience. From the moment we stepped into the premises, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. The room has a cozy atmosphere that made us feel right at home. They always clean the room everyday and make sure we have fresh towels everyday. What truly sets Shangri-La apart is the impeccable service. Rose was very friendly, helpful and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. Whether it was providing local recommendations or promptly attending to any requests, her attention to detail was impressive. She provided everything we need such as beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkeling gears, yoga mat and even sunscreen and insect repellent. Overall, I highly recommend Shangri-La Bed and Breakfast to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay with exceptional service. I will definitely be returning on my next visit to the area.
