My only criticism is that the for doors were propped open. An obvious code violation. In the post COVID world of barley edible breakfasts, this was a pleasant surprise. Fruit, waffles, bagels, and muffins were of good quality and complimented the sausage and eggs which were unexpected.

We had an excellent stay at the Baymont in Amarillo off Ross St. and I-40. From the moment we checked in, everything was smooth and stress-free. The location made it super easy to get around town, yet the property itself was quiet and relaxing. The building has a charming, old-timey character that gave it a unique feel compared to most chain hotels, and we really appreciated that. Our room was comfortable, and we enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere throughout the stay. The pool was clean and inviting, the breakfast was a great way to start the day, and the staff kept everything running smoothly. Overall, this hotel struck the perfect balance between convenience, comfort, and a bit of character you don’t always find on the road. Highly recommend this spot if you’re passing through Amarillo — we’ll definitely be back!

Service was very prompt when the toilet wouldn't flush completely and everyone was friendly. Hotel/room was just older. Stains in tub, stickiness on night stand and lots of hall noises and road noise. Glad we didn't pay more than we did.

When I made my reservations there was a place where you could ask for any special assistance or accommodation. I asked if there was anyway I could get a ground floor room as I can’t walk up stairs very easy and need assistance. When I checked in on 09/05/25 the desk clerk had to call someone and ask about giving me a room as it was obvious no one addressed the question prior for a ground floor room. Then I had to wait for a decision. Why ask when making reservations if a person needs assistance or accommodation if it’s not going to be addressed ahead of the arrival date?
