our Room was okay was a little bit dated but had everything we needed, only downsides were the shower was not great. It had a small head and pointed out of the bath which caused water to go all over the floor there was shower gel provided which was nice. My main downside to the room was the smell. Outside our winder was a gutter which was full of old rainwater and moss which did not cause a nice smell, this would have been fine if we had air con but we did not. In conclusion looking at price and area the hotel it was good and had everything we needed as we were not in our room a lot anyway, the staff were nice and friendly which made the our experience very pleasant

Staff was very nice but our final night we saw a rat or mouse run across the floor, and the next morning packaged food that was in my bag was ripped apart.

Great location

Great location center of both areas in the middle if you rent a bike so easy to get around the place was spotless. The only thing the 2nd floor shower is tricky. If you don't set the knob, the old knob, the right way it has scolding hot water, be careful.i asked 2 time to fix tv no luck no tv bummer lol

This hotel is only good for backpackers as there were no stairs. You have to carry your luggage on a very stiff stairs. Service is good but not recommmended for travellers with big luggages. Surrounding area is good for those who wants action in the night.

Lots of character, but lacked comfort.

Room was quite, and for being sold out during our stay, we also didnt hear others. Room was very hot. Even with window wide open and fan on throughout the night. Stairs were very steep.

First time in Amsterdam

Location is ideal in the middle of all the action. You can walk to most locations and immerse yourself with the city. There are no elevators and stairs are a bit steep so I suggest that your able and mobile. There is also no AC so depending on the time of year it may get a bit hot in the room but we're able to open windows and they have a fan in the room.

A nice, old hotel overlooking Rembrandt Square. Nice staff. Tall stairway from street up to desk, but staff carried our luggage. A very old building, but well-kept. Trams and trains at the square.

Small rooms but clean and convenient. I didn’t have to take transit often because so much is in walking distance, and the transit itself is super close. A bit of a partying neighbourhood but the room I was in was quiet at night. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was fairly standard but enjoyable. No complaints!
