The hotel has character. Is located in a busy area but is close to central station so getting places is easy. The staff was very nice and helpful.

The tiny spiral stair not good past 1st floor. the biggest problem was THE NOISE THE NOISE no AC so windonws needed to be open the sea gulls the street noise the the cleaning trucks, then the church bells for 5 straight minutes. THE NOISE

These property was quaint and very traditional. It was a bit run down but that did not bother us. It was a very warm weekend and unfortunately we had a very hard time getting a draft in the room. It was also very noisy throughout the whole night but we had to keep the windows open to lower the temperature in the room. No fan or ac. We were also surprised that we could not make an extra key Which we need it since we are a family of four. The hotel was very conveniently located across the street from the train station and also very very close to shopping and dining. We loved the breakfast at the hotel too.

I feel bad giving a 3 star review because the staff was so kind and helpful—best part of our experience. The property is older and not as clean as I expect my rooms to be. Breakfast was delicious. There is no AC—this is not a reason for a lower rating, however it is important to know. The listing does not mention AC or the lack of AC. We had to have our windows open at all times which was problematic at night when the nightlife geared up—it was noisy and lots of smoke (from alllll varieties of smoke-able products). If you are young travelers who don’t mind this, you are good. If you are traveling with children, it is good to keep in mind. Very walkable location being central to nearly everything.

The hotel it self was ok, it was clean and the room was big. The staff was nice and the free breakfast was a plus. The only thing I didn’t care for is the location and how dirty it was around there which isn't the hotels fault. It was also a little loud buy it was right in the middle of the main tourist area so understandable.

Perfectly located

Old building (narrow halls, irregular floors) but perfectly located a short walk to Amsterdam Centraal (transportation hub) and many many activities in central Amsterdam. No air conditioning but usually not required.

Not suitable for families

This hotel is not family friendly. There were no elevators, and we had to carry our luggage up to the third floor using winding stairs, it was exhausting and inconvenient. To make things worse, there was no air conditioning, which made the room very uncomfortable, especially in warm weather. On top of that, the outside noise was loud and disruptive, making it difficult to sleep. Don't even get me started on the bathroom, UGH. Overall, it was an unpleasant experience — I would not recommend this place for families.

The hotel is convenient to the Central Train Station, also walkable to many sites. Only issue we had was very noise in middle of night with party crowds.

We had a quad room facing Amsterdam Centraal - this was an excellent location and view The narrow circular staircase was a little challenging to navigate with luggage. First place we stayed that included breakfast... very well done with sausage, eggs, mini pancakes and lots of cold options. Would gladly stay here again.
