Nice building, nice people, nice room, nice bar, nice food (but a limited menu) good breakfast and excellent value for money. The only downside is that there no real options for other places to eat in the immediate area. It won't stop me staying there again and I recommend it.

The hotel is fantastic. Modern, clean, tasteful, lovely staff, really easy to get to using the metro. There are lovely little touches, such as lemon and lime water to help yourself from at the reception, 24 hour pizza and bar, maps of the city, etc. The food was good and the hotel was nice and quiet despite quite a few people staying there. The hotel is only 100m from the nearest metro station, but not via a proper path - if you use the footpath, then it is about 6 minutes walk. The area is not pretty, but felt safe and was in the middle between the airport and city, and you can get into town by metro or tram.

Although the hotel is approximately 30mins by public transport out of the centre of Amsterdam, there are regular and frequent means to get to and from the centre . The hotel is in an unusual area . The staff are friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant are spacious comfortable and clean . Comfortable beds and basic amenities cleaned regularly . Great value too ! I would recommend especially after a full day of exploring !

For an out of centre hotel, The Met was truly fantastic. Less than a 20 minute walk from convenient transport links, staff all friendly and always happy to help. Food in the restaurant was really good and the snack & go made a great addition for if you just wanted to chill in your room after a busy day. They also went the extra mile decorating our room as a request of it being my husbands 40th & 2 drinks tokens as a complimentary bday offer. Thanks Met, we would definitely recommend and stay again if in your neck of the woods!

This Hotel is lovely, however, I would have given a 5* if not for the poor breakfast and the area it is in. Really unsightly, dirty and we didnt feel safe there. Breakfast was extremely limited to only halal and vegan options, so there was no usual bacon or sausages available - window curtain in the room had many gaps and the street lighting was really bright so we found it hard to sleep. Staff however were all lovely and the room was spotless with very comfortable beds.

The staff is amazing and accommodating! The hotel is very nice. The music in the lobby is well chosen. Breakfast was comfortable. Our room was a little small for a non-couple traveling for more than a week. It is better suited for a couple or single occupancy. The shower had a technical problem that needed to get fixed by experts at laying tiles. Otherwise- amazing place. Highly recommended.
