The hotel is newly renovated and they even put an elevator in! Location is perfect, less that a block from the museums and only 12 min walk to red district and other turustuc places. The entrance check in is next to the hotel door at a cute coffee shop. People are so kind and helpful there and their coffee and treats are great too! Highly recommended for everything it offers!

Room is quite small but it has everything you need- washroom is very clean and modern. It’s on the ground floor and the cafe is right next to your room, as well as the elevator, so a bit noisy. You can always hear music far apart, not sure if it’s from the building next door, but you would still be able to sleep.

This is not a regular hotel. With less than 20rooms, there is no reception area. There are just small rooms nothing else. How can it be a hotel??? Got to check in next door cafe which opens only 8-6. The room was so small and housekeeping wasn’t good. It’s close to Rijksmuseum.

The staff was fabulous but our electricity went out in the middle of the night, so we weren’t able to charge our phones. The receptionist felt badly so she gave us two free delicious cookies.

Anna at the front desk was very helpful. It was quick and easy to check in and just steps away from the Van Gogh museum and the Rijks museum. The room was clean, quiet, comfortable and had all the amenities. Loved it!

Great hotel for a short stay in Amsterdam

Great stay at the fritz hotel. We arrived mid morning and able to check in immediately. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was small, but had everything we needed for a short stay so it didn’t bother us! Location was great with easy access to public transport or a walk into the more central area which we preferred to do.

This was the perfect place to stay while in Amsterdam! It was walking distance to pretty much everything we wanted to see, and if wasn’t, it was a quick tram or metro ride! The staff were lovely and check in was extremely easy! The room was always clean and the view of the city was fabulous! Would definitely recommend staying here, and would definitely stay here again!

We had a great stay! It was close to all the sites and a view of the Rijksmuseum. The area felt safe. Check in went smoothly. Something to be aware of; if you are on the 4th floor, the elevator only goes to the 3rd floor so there will be a set of steep stairs to climb. To be fair, that's just the charm of Amsterdam. The double bed was amazing! We each had our own separate comforter! No blanket hogging!! The bathroom was clean and the shampoo/conditioner provided was quite nice. I hope to stay here again. Bonus detail, you get to keep the tote bag. I didn't take mine because I didn't know it was ours to keep and I didn't want to steal. (My fault for asking last minute) Thanks for the great stay!

My partner and I came to Amsterdam for one night for his birthday and The Fritz was the perfect hotel! A quaint room, clean and modern but still homey with a lovely bathroom and an amazing city view. It had a boutique hotel feel to it but all the benefits of a larger hotel. The staff at The Fritz were kind and helpful, even to kind as to decorate our room for my partner's birthday. Location was perfectly far away from the business of the centre but in the perfect spot to walk to the centre or any surrounding neighborhoods! Wouldn't stay anywhere else if we visit again.

Very nice location for sightseeing in Amsterdam. Enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Single room was small and compact but good enough for a solo traveller. Comfortable bed, good amenities, and the bathroom was excellent. The stairs are very narrow so be mindful of that, and the lift is also quite slow.
