Pros: + Safe area with a bakery, and two markets in the same block. There are numerous restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk. + The desk is staffed 24 hours a day, and the staff were knowledgable and speedy at check in & out. + The room itself was clean and comfortable with great A/C. Cons: - The room looked nothing like the photos on the website. I would not have booked this room if I had seen what the actual room looked like. - Limited view of an alley. - The other family we were traveling with were placed in an apartment building across the street in a 1st floor apartment. No idea why, but seemed unusual to place hotel guests in a functioning apartment.

I stayed in the 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment for 2 days. Very spacious. Black out rooms. Cold AC once on and running. The apartment has a few ways to help keep the heat out to keep it cool. Waking distance to great places to eat, a beautiful view of the acropolis, grocery store and a great bakery. Be warned there is a flight of stairs and a few extra to get to this apartment. Washer did smell of mildew and no dedicated clothes line to hang dry your clothes. We got creative and the clothes dried quickly outdoors.

Booked the Rock apartment, just so that you’re aware this is a basement in a building covered in graffiti round the corner from the hotel. The windows are covered in metal bars, the beds advertised are incorrect. There are no twin beds. The basement is a corner of the building, alongside a pavement - so can hear pedestrians walking by and the road / cars. Found it overall unsafe. If you look at the photos attached the bottom windows that are part showing is the apartment, and the metal door is the entrance.

Apartment stay

Lovely apartment, large comfortable and reasonably well equipped. We did have a sink which had a damaged tap causing quite a bad leak under the cupboards when you washed up. We did report it but it wasn’t rectified during our stay. There is a small supermarket opposite and a bakery directly beneath the apartment. With delicious fresh bread cakes, coffees and ice-cream. You can hear a little noise from the bakery early in the morning, but that really didn’t bother us at all. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful with recommendations for good local restaurants. You are within walking distance of several eateries and also the Parthenon and other historical sights.

We stayed in an apartment across the street from the main hotel. Access was easy, it was clean, and had everything we needed. The breakfast had a lot of options and was tasty. A safe in the apartment or available to put our passports in one at the front desk would have been nice.

Lovely hotel, staff so friendly and helpful, plus really convenient location - we were able to walk to all the main tourist attractions and there were tonnes of wonderful restaurants nearby, many with spectacular views of the Acropolis

Great location

This review is for The Rock apartment, not the hotel. The air conditioning did not work in parts of the unit, though an attempt to fix it was made. The sleeper sofa's are NOT comfortable to sit on as a sofa. (I have no idea if they are comfortable as beds.) Otherwise, the location is great for the Acropolis/sites and restaurants, and the unit was spacious, quiet and clean.

Be My Guest Athens is very centrally located. Clean and comfortable. Lovely bakery right across the street and a supermarket is attached to the hotel. Very convenient. The staff are very helpful and kind. The cleaning ladies to their job well. I would stay here again.

It was not a touristy area, but was a close walk (13 min) up the hill to the Acropolis and some nice restaurants. The staff was very helpful and friendly. A nice breakfast and other food and beverage items were available. The rooms were nicely updated and had everything we needed. The reception and dining area room was a bit tight. Our room was very close to the main area and we had to walk through the tight area to exit. Not a problem except when crowded at breakfast time. Rooms off the main floor might be more private. Very affordable. The roof top was lovely to use. We would definitely stay here again.
