We stayed 5 days at this property in a room with 2 queen beds. The rooms have recently been refurbished and our room was quite pleasing. It was large. Had a wide sliding French door which opened onto a small terrace which overlooked Lynx Street. The room had 3 armchairs, a small area with a sink, a small countertop, microwave and a small fridge.
The bathroom had a tub with new shower. There was a grab bar for safety but it was situated such that one could not utilize it when getting out of the tub.
The location of the hotel is ideal. Close to downtown Banff and yet on a quiet street. We slept with the sliding door open.
Its more upscale sister property is across the street and the more budget friendly sister property on one side, close to the Bow River.
One of its 2 restaurants was closed. La Terrazza it’s “Italian” restaurant was open and we breakfast and one dinner there. The lobster bisque, the Steelhead Trout Gravlax, the Tiramisu Semifroddo, Turkish eggs and Avocado Bagel were outstanding. The Australian & English (British) waitresses provided a fast, efficient and friendly service.
Sophie at front desk gave us a warm welcome.
And the presence of laundry was a huge bonus.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.
