Great two night stay in a studio suite in the main building. The room was a bit dated but it had everything I needed. I appreciated having a kitchen as most accommodation in Banff is hotel room only. Also, the underground parking was awesome (without some outrageous additional cost). It’s super easy to get down to Banff Avenue with the bus stops right in front of the resort.

We arrived late in the day and checked in. Checkin was easy and directions good. The room was separate from the kitchen which I appreciate. It was clean and firewood stocked. The internet box was not plugged in so took time to troubleshoot the issue. Walked across the street for dinner.

The room was cute and cozy with all the amenities that I expected, however, was not terribly clean with the exception of the bathroom. It did not appear vacuumed recently. The kitchen floor looked like a mop had literally been slept on it and not actually cleaned and we thought the couch was a hide a bed, so pulled the cushions off and it was absolutely revolting under the cushions to the point that I would have rather slept on the floor so thank goodness, we discovered the Murphy bed behind the couch and the placement of the furniture in front of said Murphy bed was a bit awkward The two large burners on the stove did not work, and the top of the stove had shifted and you could see that nothing underneath the elements had ever been cleaned, and it was really disgusting under there to the point that I wasn’t sure I even wanted to cook on the stove. The instructions to get to the pool were somewhat decent, but they needed to tell us at check-in that you needed to sign in near the pool tables to get directions to the change room and that part was very confusing. The change rooms were filthy. The floors looked like they had never been washed and the lockers were in L repair and dirty inside.

It’s an old place that needs some renovations to the rooms. I think the appliances and furniture hasn’t been changed since we were kids coming to this place! But it’s great if you want a family friendly place in the mountains. No bells and whistles. Dust in the corners and laughs had by all.

Very nice room, perfect for family. Love the full kitchen makes eating in your room easy. The pool here is amazing and the staff at the pool is so nice. Working fire place. Excellent hotel will be coming back.

The staff was very courteous. We complained about the room at reception because it smelled like cigarette smoking. Someone before smoked in it and even if they clean and spray everything it is still very hard to get the smell out. They offered to change us but we had already unpacked and brought everything in so we decided to stay as it was only for one night. But the smell was strong. Otherwise, it was very clean.
