Very poor service. Unreliable airport shuttle.
The initial room we received had a rhythmic electrical beeping coming from a wall outlet. We requested a room change and were given a regular room instead of a suite which we originally booked. The front staff informed us they had no more suites and we were agreeable to this as the beeping would have made it difficult to sleep. There was no small gesture or offer to us to downgrade our room. She charged us full price for the bag of popcorn we bought during the same interaction.
This was the start of a very poor experience. My girlfriend and I had a flight the next morning at 7am. We checked with front staff to confirm that airport shuttles left the hotel early enough for us to make it to the airport on time. The informed us shuttles left every 30 minutes. We arrived to the lobby at 5:15 and waited outside for the shuttle. We were the first group outside. People slowly joined us outside including some flight crew. The shuttle arrived 3/4 full then proceeded to haphazardly load luggage and people in. We were ignored despite being first outside and by the time the driver acknowledged us, the shuttle was full. We went to the front staff to get a cab voucher but she said they couldn’t do this. So we were forced to order an Uber at high cost.
In addition to the poor customer service, the check in process was slow. This was due to 2 separate guests complaining about cleanliness of their rooms. In hindsight, this should have been a sign.
