On June 9th, I checked in at 12:30 PM, went to the boathouse for a canoe at 1 PM, had a great time, and returned to my room around 3 PM. When I left my room around 5 PM to look around the hotel, a staff member stood in front of the door to clean the room and asked if I needed the room cleaned. I said “NO.”
After dinner, I came back to my room, and the staff member was still standing in front of the door. When I entered the room, I saw signs that someone had entered the room. The staff member had cleaned the room.
I had left my belongings and my underwear lying around, but the staff member had just come in and cleaned the room. I was so embarrassed and ashamed. The fact that someone else had seen my underwear was so shocking.
When I went to the front desk to talk to them, they told me as if nothing had happened. My underwear was lying around, but they said it was nothing… I have stayed at many hotels, but this was the first time they came in and cleaned the room without even staying a night. I am still thinking about legal approach.
