I have stayed at this hotel numerous times. So much so that the valet know me on a first name basis. We were disappointed with the refurbishment specifically the loss of the complimentary coffee bar. It was my 13 year olds birthday weekend and i had asked the front desk if they could by any chance upgrade us since I am a VIP expedia member and have stayed there multiple times. I typically never do this but given the special occasion and my loyalty to the hotel i figured i would try. The woman checking us in told me that my room was "good enough." The only thing she could do was give us free water which i know we get them upon checkout most of the time. I did get a small discount at breakfast which cost me $80 for 3 people. This was part of my expedia perk not the hotels. I also spent almost $100 on room service which included basics like a pizza and 2 sandwiches. Overall my stay was almost $600 for one night. The beds are small and barely fit 2 adults. I get that it is Boston prices but i might rethink our future stays.
