Nasty

The beds where absolutely disgusting stains on them along with the sheets. Room smelt terrible. Guy at front told me food was open till 9 I got there at 8 they closed the kitchen. The electric outlets all where off the room .

The lake view was a nice distraction from this outdated, musty, dusty and crusty hotel. I actually contemplated counting my losses and getting a different hotel but decided against it since I was only there for a couple days. I won't be staying here ever again. If I could give this place zero stars, I would.

Took a vacation with my wife and my parents stayed for 2 nights. The first night was great, the second night was such a a disappointment. Half the reason I booked the Lakeside was for the bar and restaurant and the lakeside view. They had a wedding going on which is fine but they closed the bar, restaurant and lakeside seating off for all the rest of the guests. When I approached the staff about our dissatisfaction they acted like they didn't care at all about the rest of the guests they had. Very unprofessional if you ask me. I have stayed a few times before but will never stay there again unfortunately. The staff that was available to hear my complaints I don't think even understood English.

We chose this property for being on the lake, a hot breakfast buffet, fitness center and bar and restaurant on property. We got there and the room was clean and we had a lakeside view, but the weeds were so tall, you could not enjoy sitting outside looking at the lake. The hot breakfast buffet was just powdered eggs and carbs and should have just had better, healthier choices. The fitness center was not up to par and didn't even use it because it was lacking equipment. The bar and restaurant were closed the 2 nights we were there. So disappointed, but the room was clean and comfortable and we were able to move on to our next destination for our road trip

Nice location, and property appears to be well maintained, an update is some areas would be great for example the a/c system was very loud and worn, and fridge couldnt be adjuster and would take the whole day to get something cooled down. Overall these items are werable items that need attention over time.

Lovely lakeside setting

We visited the Boston area for a couple of days. We chose Lakeside for its close proximity to friends and Boston attractions. This is an older hotel but, very well maintained set on a beautiful lake. There is no elevator but staff member carried my suitcase up stairs, to my room. For an older hotel rooms are clean but we would have appreciated more towels since they don't clean the room daily. Excellent staff, service & fantastic daily breakfast. There are also a bar & pool. We would definitely choose Lakeside again.
