Typical hotel. Staff was friendly and efficient. The breakfast lady was great! Our room was clean and the A/C worked well. Hotels was quiet. Easy to get to after a concert at Rama. Reasonably priced. Would stay here again.

We have stayed here many times. This time did not live up to our expectations but the manager I spoke to regarding many issues promised our next stay at the end of July would be much better. We booked 2 reservations for a 2 night stay and even though I called the hotel the day before to confirm our rooms would be on the same floor and close together when we checked in Friday they tried to give us rooms 201 and 309. When I made it very clear to the ladies behind the desk that this was unacceptable they finally came up with a second room on the 3 floor. When I went to the front desk on Saturday morning to inquire about fresh towels and toiletries the lady’s customer service was lacking. We did finally receive towels around 4pm. One thing that was not disappointing was the morning breakfast buffet. This is thanks to Michelle who makes sure every thing is replenished very quickly. Her customer service is outstanding and she made sure all the guests were treated with respect. You are very lucky to have such a wonderful person on your team. The interior of the property has had a nice refresh but the exterior still needs attention. Some nice flowers have been planted but the weeds are overtaking the areas and the long grass also needs cutting so your guests have a better impression of the property when they arrive.

The property, building and room were beautiful. The room has a kitchenette, with coffee pot, a sink, fridge and microwave and a few dishes, etc in the cupboard. Bathroom has a deep tub for soaking in, and a shower with great water pressure and I did not run out of hot water. Also has two safety handles (built into the tub surround) and shelves for all your necessities. Everything was sparkling clean. They have a swimming pool, but I was too busy to go check it out. Breakfast is included! I highly recommend the Stone Gate Inn. Price was very reasonable!!!

Great staff

The staff were amazing and did everything possible to make sure our stay was comfortable. We did ask for no service for our room to help the planet but the recycling was done and towels changed. Next time please try to help our environment

Broken adjoining room lock

Lock to the adjoining room was not only compromised, but it would actively spring back to the unlocked upon jiggling the door. Security issues like this are frankly unacceptable. They did offer me an alternate room, but this should never have been overlooked in the first place. This problem could not have arisen overnight, and has presumably existed for some time.

Excellent property. Though only stayed one night as passing through Orillia would definitely consider staying for an extended stay at this establishment. Staff friendly, clean, spacious and comfortable rooms.
