We checked into the days inn by Wyndham in north bay. From the start it was a terrible experience. Firstly the gentleman at the desk doing check in had to double check the time we were able to check in. After confirming the room was ready, we rushed in, not before almost tripping on a dirty mop head in the process. We threw our stuff in the room quickly as we were running off to a funeral. We noticed that the room looked a little grimy and the sheets were yellow so before returning to the room we bought our own pillows and blankets. After getting back - this is the state of the room we stayed in (please see photos). Being so late at night we were stuck at the hotel as we are 4.5 hours away from home. We checked out early in the morning and the woman at the desk wasn’t sure if she could even give us our deposit back as the system wasn’t working. We’ve had to had Expedia reach out to the hotel (since the direct phone line doesn’t work) to see if we’re getting our deposit back? Seeing as how we slept on top of the sheets and purchased our own pillows I can’t imagine we wouldn’t. Plus nothing in that room is worth the $300 deposit. Once we left, and returned home, we noticed we are all covered in bed bug bites.
