We were looking for a place to stay the night before heading to Quadra Island. The property seems to be in the process of refresh so the room we had was comfy, had a great view of the river and a nice balcony. Not much in the way of food service so be prepared

I understand that it certainly is under new management, but the lounge, breakfast bar or dinner areas were not avail which would have been nice to know prior to check in. and chairs outside on the deck had lots of mold on them. Beds were comfortable so that was nice. Check in however took a long time. No I would not recommend this resort until they fix it up a lot. Had we haven’t known this prior we would have made another arrangement.

I needed a room for one night even though I am a local, and it was a decent price. Pleasantly surprised as I hadn't stayed before. Room was nice. Big and clean, with a deck. Bushes were overgrown so couldn't see much off deck. Breakfast provided was muffin, yogurt, granola bar, fruit, tea, coffee.

Neither of the two dining options listed were open as the desk staff explained they are being renovated and the property will be officially open on July 15th. There was limited wifi and teh continental breakfast was packaged muffins, oranges and sugary granola bars with tea and coffee. We went to town and had a delicious homecooked breakfast at the Ideal Cafe which we would totally recommend. The lobby is lovely and once the property is fully operational I am sure it would be a gorgeous spot.

Staff was friendly and accommodating (Riley checked me in and was great). Room was clean. The exterior and grounds are in need of some work, but during my visit I could see renos were taking place. The area is beautiful and quiet as its a bit out of town. My only complaint would be is that when calling to reserve a room no one picked up after multiple trys. The answering message directs you to call April point for reservations. April point told me they couldn't help me for painters lodge and to email instead.
