The staff was not friendly at all. One of the instructions for check in on Expedia is to call ahead and they were annoyed to answer the phone and said to come in at check in time so not clear on why you need to phone to be treated rudely and then come in to check in to be treated rudely as well. The rooms were clean-ish. Meaning walls were not wiped down, showers had hair in them and there were spiders and spider webs in every corner of the room. Rooms are small with not a lot of space around the beds.

This property is older but is good. We stay here every year on our way through the Kootneys and we will continue staying here. There is a nice walking trail to downtown as you are a little bit out of town. It is always quiet and the rooms are normally fairly clean. We had a room that was not quite up to our expectations and the onsite staff took care of it quickly. I would recommend this place for both cost, and the location to walking trails and hiking trails. It is also right across the highway from the museum.

The room is not clean. Hairs everywhere stains on sheets coffee spilled down side of desk. Not to Best Western affiliate standards. They should do a surprise inspection and take their name off the building. I have spent three months in hotels for work this year and this is the worst for cleanliness.

Close access to town and trails. Breakfast was meh, but it was nice having a complementary one. Found a town access trail that was a direct shot to the flying steam shovel. Overall, would likely book there again.
