We booked a loft room. It was perfect for our family of 3. The hotel is in a great location with most of the tourist spots walkable.

We had a reasonable check in following a poor start. Staff were very pleasant but could have handled our late arrival better. There was no available parking at the hotel and they were unable to direct us to anywhere suitable for parking a van.

I’ve stayed at The Fitzwilliam several times and like the location, cleanliness and room size. This time, our heat was blasting and we couldn’t adjust the thermostat. The woman at the desk was very helpful and had maintenance take a look. Unfortunately, we were told the thermostat was “tricky” and the heat could not be adjusted. We had to leave the window open and the street noise was very loud, as expected. Not a great solution.
