Good hotel for its price. However, keep in consideration that it is located on a steep hill, so you have to hike everyday to your hotel which was not the best after a long day at high altitude. Room was cold, we had to request for a heating unit. Breakfast is included but with limited options. There is no hot water in the hand sink. Hot water only available in Shower. If you are on top floor you can hear the pigeons at night and in the morning. Overall, not bad for its price.
Clean, nice lobby area. Spacious room.
Hotel is at the top of many stairs but worth the climb. Beautiful area with many shops. Staff was fantastic and very accommodating
Our stay was excellent the location is great with the street of 7 lambs beautiful and at our doorstep. Lovely rooms and property . Staff was friendly and excellent especially Javier at the front desk . He was so helpful with our check in and tours . Also set up transportation for us he was absolutely the best. The rooms are clean great bedding and the showers nice and hot . I will always stay here again in Cusco . Location is within walking to shops cafes restaurants and plaza de Armas. Beautiful and safe . Wonderful experience!
Very pretty hotel with comfortable beds and friendly staff. We had the suite with city view and it had panoramic windows, super pretty. If you’re not used to the altitude it can be difficult walking back up the hill from the Plaza de Armas. The only reason I couldn’t give five stars is that I left my AirPods there, and the staff said they weren’t there but on the findmy app they literally are so 😐
Mayu Boutique Hotel offered us an exceptional experience during our stay. The room we were allocated was not only spacious but also boasted an impressive view of the city. Each morning, we were greeted with a great breakfast selection that catered to a variety of tastes and dietary needs. The staff at the hotel were consistently kind, helpful, and eager to offer assistance and guidance whenever needed. Based on our wonderful experience, we highly recommend Mayu Boutique Hotel for its excellent value and top-notch service.
I had just arrived exhausted from 7 days of backpacking on the Inca trail only to find that our room we had reserved was no longer available even though we had confirmed it only a couple days before then. They had to separate us into 2 separate rooms. There were no towels in the room. It was not the cleanest. I found hair on the linens.
There was a lot of miscommunication among staff and I had to explain the situation of them giving our room away to 3 different front desk clerks.
On the second day, I was in my room getting ready to leave when a strange man unlocked the door and barged in. He said he worked there and didn’t know anyone was staying in that room. Again…lack of communication among staff leading to unacceptable behavior.
And lastly, this hotel is located at the top of 4 flights of stairs which is not shown in any descriptions. I had just climbed thousand of stairs while hiking 7 days on the Inca trail so this is the last thing I wanted to do upon arriving exhausted to the hotel.
I would never stay here again nor would I ever recommend this place.
I have so many issues with this hotel. First, the stairs!!! There are so many stairs to get to the hotel in the first place. Do not stay here if you have any luggage or you are not acclimated to the altitude. Second, it wasn’t clean. There were hairs all over the shower, dirt on the beds, and the sheets cleanliness is in question. Third, they only have one key to your room that you have to leave with them if you are going to be gone for the day. The key ring includes the keys to the locked safe-link box. It is inconvenient and seems a bit dangerous. The hotel does not give you towels or rags unless you ask for them and sometimes they are not clean or available. It is very loud, most nights you can hear loud music or people having in the hallways. One day it sounded like they were renovating the room above me at 10 at night. Finally, they lost our reservation and after some in our group had been hiking in the wilderness for seven days and were very sick, they had to wait for them to fix the situation before we could get into a room.
You get for what you pay. Pro - we got a suite 2 rooms, 2 full baths to accommodate 5 people.
Cons - no heat, no hot water, no phone service, no laundry on premise (the lady would take it to a laundry place but forgot to pick up on time so we were with no clean clothes until the day we were leaving). Breakfast was eatable, simple

I found hair in my bed sheets, followed by stains on my sheets. Upon entering my room i saw the hardwood on the floor as as well coming apart. With a letter as well mentioning that the sheets are cleaned and changed every 3 days, to my knowledge i believe the sheets re not changed between stays until the 3 days are up. The arrangements of the dining room was uncomfortable and not properly organized as there is not enough space for dining. The food was terrible, cold and te dishes are never cleaned properly, as i took 4 minutes looking for a clean plate to serve the disgusting food in. I would recommend people NOT to stay at this hotel completely disgusting.
Right from the moment we landed in Cusco, Mercedes was absolutely a delight. She was very helpful no matter what we needed and the accomodation is absolutely charming. It was a wonderful place to come home to at the end of each day. It's a great location, just a short walk to the historical centre of Cusco. Highly recommended!
the hostel is very clean and in great condition, a little bit difficult to find as there is no sign on the outside door. Very friendly owner and good location
The hotel was very nice and the room was quite large. Breakfast was great and it is located within 5 blocks of the Plaza de Armas. The only problem was the walk to the Plaza is downhill which means the walk back to the hotel is uphill. The hill was enough of a hindrance that we typically took taxis back to the hotel each night.

Nice place but no heater
Hotel staff were great room was clean. Only problem I had was that Cusco gets very cold and we had no kind if heat
The hotel is very nice, clean and safe. It is a little far from the center of town and up a large hill; however, this meant that we weren't worries about noise. The only noise is the occasional dog in the street. The staff were amazing and friendly. They do speak English and are happy to help you arrange transportation or give advice about booking tours. Breakfast was also delicious. I would definitely stay here again.
Would not recommend! Short staffed, extremely cold rooms and would not leave heater on, cold shower as water heater seized and no working tv. Breakfast was poor as no service and condition of kitchen and storage and recycling of food was dismal.
This hotel was a great choice for the price. It’s about a ten minute walk from the plaza de armas, so the neighborhood is a lot quieter. It’s on top of one of the hills and the views are incredible. Hotel staff was also always extremely helpful. My friend and I left for a 5 day trek and the hotel kept our extra luggage locked up during our stay. When we returned, our luggage was already in our room. Also, breakfast is basic but adequate. One of the hotel staff stayed in the room during breakfast and was available to make coffee and eggs or answer any questions. I highly recommend staying here.

Location misleading...
Overall our stay here was perfectly good. The staff were attentive and the hotel even arranged an early morning pick up for free from the bus stop. It was also very clean. Unfortunately, it was advertised that the hotel was right on the Plaza de Armas, however it was actually quite a climb up the hill (it was only accessible by stairs, not car). It was quite a distance from the square.
