I love to stay at the Wildwood Lodge; it is one of my favorites! The staff is great and the location is the best. The pool and hot tub are an added bonus as well as the great complimentary breakfast.

The room was okay but when we checked in the lady working at the front desk was rather rude. She asked if it was just two adults and when I told her we had our two grandkids she told me our room wasn’t big enough. I explained that they were young and in fact one would be in a pac n play and the other would sleep with us she told me it didn’t matter I was going to get charged for an upgraded room. My card was then charged another $34. If she was polite about it I would have been fine but she was not.

This was a nicely furnished, clean, surprisingly inexpensive and friendly hotel, perfect for a one-night stay for travelers (in our case, a couple with a medium-sized dog), easy access off and on I-80. Quiet, and plenty of pleasant outdoor walking space for the humans and the dog … the nearby Mexican restaurant (not a chain!!) is really pretty good …
