Good hotel let down but housekeeping and reception

The hotel in general was OK. Arrived late due to delayed flight - reception was overworked and not welcoming. Very busy weekend due to British Lions tour. We were given a room that was dirty, toilet seat dislodged and hanger ripped off the wall. Thankfully the management gave us a another room but it wasn't cleaned for some time with dust everywhere. Great location though. Was meant to get bottle of wine but did not eventuate.

The hotel was very clean and close to the convention centre. The bed was very comfy. Woolworths was nearby and it was very convenient. Only negative is that i could not adjust the fan setting for the aircon and it was very noisy when on.

The property was very clean, however we would have loved a full disclosure when we called to enquire about parking. The offsite parking was some distance away and cheaper if we booked directly online. Again we were charged a few dollars above our reservation charges which I suspect is "Credit card" charges but this wasn't mentioned by the Lady at check out.
