Rude staff at the restaurant. Rooms missing basic things like body wash. We had one condo in greens also, very run down for the price. Missing basic utensil's. Check-in staff very unaccommodating, unwilling to even hear out requests and giving incorrect advice.

The resort is really good. The property is huge and has wonderful scenic views. There is so much to do there!The food at Maple pub restaurant is amazing. The only downside is that you have to book certain activities 24hrs in advance.

We had a wonderful time at Deerhurst !! The staff is so accommodating. Everything you need is right there. I will never rent a cottage again, hauling half the house to the cottage !! Considering the prices of motels in Huntsville this time of year , for a bit extra , you get all the amenities.

This is a great resort as it is but the potential it has with some more organization and upgrading could bring it up a few levels. The rooms aren’t terrible but could use some updating specifically in the Bayshore building. I specifically booked because Expedia stated I had a balcony and a lake view we didn’t have one upon arrival and we had a great view of a tree with the lake behind it. We were also right beside the elevator and the stairs so there was just banging sounds all night. I didn’t sleep at all between the loud sounds and the most uncomfortable saggy mattress. I made my peace with most of the the things I did not like because of the lake and the beauty of nature. However many other resorts offer the same. I probably wouldn’t go back because there was very little accommodations made for our stay, not willing to upgrade, not willing to check out an hour later and the restaurants are all a brutal steep uphill and then downhill walk for every meal if you are staying anywhere other than the pavillion building. Not easy with two littles. There was no water provided to guests and none upon request either. The beach could use a sturdy boardwalk to get from one building to the other was a really big accessibility challenge. Not really sure how people with strollers and wheelchairs can access the beach.

We enjoyed our stay. I found the bedroom a little on the old side. The outside deck was dirty with mold it was not inviting. The restaurants were good, great food and good choices Checking in was easy. Enjoyed the walks around the property in the evening. Enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Great amenities at the property however my only complaint was that they have check in at 4PM and all the guests arriving were being delayed that their rooms were still not ready. Stayed in Bayshore 1 area and they only had 2 handicap spots which was quite difficult to find a space to park with all the cars coming in and out they should have had more available.

Overall, it was a lovely resort. There were a couple staff members that went above and beyond to make the stay enjoyable. There were a number of issues with cleanliness on the property, and deterorating, quality that we expected from Deerhurst. We expected pool activities, like inflateables for the kids on the water, as the website showed, but were informed that these were removed. Check-in was well understaffed. We waited in a line for more than a half hour AFTER we did the check-in outside and receiving a text that our room was ready, and just needed our keys. The balcony was covered in black mold or dirt so badly, that were were afraid to go on it. There were other problems we encountered, but nothing so bad that we didn't still enjoy ourselves.

The activities are awesome. The grounds are not well kept, there are weeds everywhere. Our room had ripped curtains and cobwebs. Baseboard in hallway was held on with duct tape.

Rooms are spacious but tired and need to be updated. Leaving only one bar of soap at sink and none in shower not sufficient. Asked for water and was told to go to bar to be charged almost $8.00 is inappropriate.

This hotel in its day was top notch. It is getting tired and needs some attention to certain areas. Our shower had black areas between the tiles and we loved the outdoor patio but the ceiling/roof needs replacing.

For the money you pay for your room to stay there. It's a shame that they nickel and dime you for everything else. The food is way too expensive and it really is nothing special. We actually enjoyed our meal more when we went into Huntsville to eat
