Staff was rude. We were told the pool shut down at 10 PM and our room was directly across from the pool. We have kids I was trying to get to bed and at 10:30 PM, it sounded like we were in the middle of an auditorium. It was so loud. When I went to the front desk to ask about it, she told me that I was welcome to go tell the people to leave the pool area. She was rude and unpleasant and basically told me that it was what it was. I wouldn’t stay there again. I emailed the general manager and never heard back. Breakfast was mediocre. Definitely not what I’m used to from a La Quinta property. Also - part of the reason I chose this hotel is because it had a gym and I am a runner who is training for a marathon. The single Treadmill was out of commission. So the gym was basically unusable for me.

The room was perfect! Easily fit our family of five. Lots of room to stretch at night, close to everything in Ely, and the staff was superb. Best continental breakfast I’ve had in years. The biscuits and gravy were enjoyed by my boys. The pool was clean and no one used it when we went down 3 times which was great! Definitely staying here again next trip!

This hotel needs updating. The bed was uncomfortable. The Kleenex box was empty and the stuff for the coffee was missing. The floor in the room was buckled and uneven under the carpet.

Frustrating!!! we received an email asking us to do an online check-in, so we did. We mentioned that we had pets and that we would like an early check in if available. We also gave our credit card to confirm, even though we had already done this when we made the reservation. We arrived at 12:30 aware this is an early check-in, but when asked if there was anything available at this time, the girl at the desk just looked at the clock and said, “no there’s nothing available, I mean check out was just 20 minutes ago.” I told her I realized that and room available or were you sold out last night? She just said they might have something in an hour. She didn’t check the computer, she didn’t ask her name, just unhelpful and uncaring. So, we were directed to a restaurant that would allow dogs, but we went and saw the coal ovens (pretty cool). One we got back to the hotel to check in it was 2 o’clock. The same girl at the desk seemed aggravated. The guest before us was just frustrated when she asked him for information that he explained he already gave online. She told him that that’s not something we really do or use. WHAT? Anyway, we went through the same thing, having us fill out information we had already given. Then when we asked for our first floor because we had dogs, she was even more aggravated and made us fill out a bunch of forms, which is fine, but it’s just the way she did it We got our room. It’s an average room.
