We had a wonderful stay at Seven Oaks! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The hotel is currently undergoing major renovations and upgrades, but aside from seeing construction workers coming and going, there was no noise disturbance or inconvenience — we had full access to our room and the fitness area without any delays. The real highlight was the restaurant — the food was top-notch, and the service was excellent. The team went above and beyond to accommodate our special requests, which made our experience even better.

Even though they were undergoing renovations we had an excellent stay. It is conveniently located and there is lots of parking. The staff was super friendly and the breakfast we had in the restaurant in the morning was great.

Going thru major renovations… rain was coming in through the roof all over the lobby. Floors were soaked. Pool & restaurant were closed due to the damage/renos. We had to be moved rooms as ours was flooding from the window area all over the curtains and floor. Room we were moved to had a TV that didn’t work for casting or Netflix or anything expect YouTube. We did call to have the tv fixed but our concerns were dismissed. The employee just said “yeah it doesn’t work sometimes. Even the cable.” But our original flooded room tv did work and have Netflix. Wifi wasn’t working. Had to use hot spot and an iPad to watch tv. The space wasn’t super clean. Original room had hair in the shower (we had not used it yet.) Room we were moved too was at least fully clean. I would not recommend this hotel until renovations are done… it was a chaotic stay. The area the hotel is located in is loud. Our window was closed but we were woken up multiple times due to loud popping sounds. Sirens. Yelling. Etc. We did bring our concerns to the attention of front desk staff and felt they were defensive and dismissive. I hate being the person who complains. I’ve never left a negative review but the experience was stressful and frustrating. Especially for the lack of amenities & obvious damage to the building.

The hotel is under MUCH needed renovations. Stairs and hallway carpets are filthy and missing in spots. Our first room had a mouse. Our second room had a strong door of cigarette smoke. Our third room was okay. Sheets were very wrinkled and we hoped they were clean. Shower curtain rod was hanging by one screw. The elevator had a large pail of ?? Garbage with no workers in site to be using it. Not recommended for anyone. Staff was friendly.

Seven Oaks was in the process of starting renovations and the pool was closed for most of my stay. The glass in one of the lobby doors was also broken during my entire 4 day stay. The area around the property is a bit rundown and a trail track runs close by the hotel so there are some train sounds occasionally.

The pool area is handled like a prison. We had brought water bottles to fill up with the water station and had to place them to the side on the main pool lady’s desk/towel area and couldn’t leave them at our table. I would never stay here again. The side is awesome. It’s unfortunate. The pool was also shocked and closed down during peak hours twice for 30mins. There was no “incidents”. Needs investment in common areas: beware!

All the hallway carpets needed to be replaced likely a year ago - hallway wooden surfaces all need urgent attention too. My room was okay and the take away food & service from the in house restaurant was excelled. A point of “redemption” - person at the front desk was very helpful but the hallways - dirty carpeting - need attention ASAP; not a good impression. Place seemed busy over Labour Day weekend; some re-investment in revenue stream needed to maintain customers. Despite the pluses, I am unlikely to return.
