Lagonita Lodge is situated on the shore of Big Bear Lake. It is a beautiful location with great views. The rooms are spacious and suited for short and long stays. Plenty of amenities like indoor pool and jacuzzi, pool tables, ping pong, and rec room. There is a dock for fishing. Compared to other places I have stayed for around the same cost, this place would rate very high. Only complaints I have were the late check-in time of 5pm, most other resorts are 3 pm, and the sofa bed was very uncomfortable. Sleeping on sofa itself rather than folding it out was much better.

Room was clean but some spider webs with spiders on ceiling Staff was polite , friendly & helpful Lakeview was as described Guests upstairs were not tolerable , I could hear footsteps until 2 am and again at 6 am onwards in the morning, we could barely sleep

Booked a room on a higher floor and because of an event they were having at the hotel. They were overbooked so we were bumped from the room we booked and put in a first floor ADA. It was a birthday getaway and it was very disappointing. we are getting married next January and we were checking out hotels for our guests. Not sure I would recommend. Stillwells was good !!

I asked for a smoking room, so I could smoke a bowl of my prescribed med, was told the non-smoking rooms were "nicer" but I needed a smoking room. BIG mistake. The floors were dirty, the coverlet AND blanket had holes burned in them, there were small dead roaches on the floor, as well as 2 that I killed... It building is Right next to the freeway, and the building shook with every big truck that passed above. All in all, it was a very very uncomfortable night, with all of my belongings packed in the car to keep bugs out of them.
