I stayed at this hotel several times but this time I did not enjoy my stay. The pool area is not as pictured nor kept clean. The hotel always has a shortage of towels and the bathroom door was so hard to open and close that I left it open mostly. The bathroom in the lobby was out of order the entire time. Valet charge $30 a day for parking when you can park on the street free

Convenient but dated and privacy-invasive

Old and dated property, conveniently located if you have business (or pleasure) in Hollywood, but otherwise, not particularly impressive. The Sonder "experience" where you have to check-in multiple times, take selfies, etc. is a brutal (and unnecessary) invasion of privacy.

Have such mixed feelings about this stay. The good: room was mostly as described. The location is excellent. The people at the desk I interacted with were pleasant. The views of young circle and the guitar hotel were great. The bad: I had to do the ID verification 3x. Each time it said it was approved and then I’d get another email to do it again. Code was supposed to come 3 days before. When it didn’t and I called they said it had been changed to 24hrs before. room was mostly good but the duvet was crazy lumpy and the balcony was sooo small and not worth paying extra for. After 2 days of being there I got a bill for $90 with no details, just a link to pay it. I emailed asking what it was for and was told it was for an unpaid portion of my stay- I had paid in full via Expedia. They said it was and error and they’d get rid of it. The next day I received the same bill. I did not pay it. The pool are was okay but could definitely be better maintained. There were never any pool towels, as advertised. The chairs were all stained. The water was not entirely clear. A few days in I realized my CC had been charged $700. It took 4 days of back and forth before they reversed the charge, again saying it was an unpaid portion of my bill. I wouldn’t stay again simply for the headaches.

The hotel is in a decent area and the property grounds are nice. The parking is terrible. I read that on reviews before I came so I wasn’t shocked. The valet has in and out privileges but we only used it the first night. The other nights we found street parking and only one night did we have to park extremely far. The keycard system to enter your room and use the elevator was the worse experience of the trip. The app constantly logged us out and we had to log back in using the confirmation number from our email. This occurred several times-extremely frustrating. The front desk was also not as helpful. Extra towels were not available for hours. We requested them at 10:30 am and when we returned from the beach at about 4:30 they still didn’t have the towels ready. Room is clean and comfortable. The shower is walk-in with marble and a rain shower. The rooftop pool was also really nice it just needed some TLC in the area where the chairs were located. Walking distance to Hollywood Blvd. A lot of the places there open later in the day though which was odd. I would probably stay closer to Las Olas Blvd next time which was about a 12-15 min drive. The beach was about an 8 minute drive.

I stayed at this hotel solo both before and after my cruise—first in a King Room, then a 1-Bdrm King Suite. The location is great, luggage storage was easy, and the property was decent. That said, I’m giving 3 stars for a few reasons: The Elevator: To access your floor, you have to enter a random 8-digit code every time. It’s meant for security, but it’s tedious—especially since the room already uses app-based entry. The codes weren’t easy to remember. Check-in Flexibility: Check-in is strictly at 4pm. I arrived early after my cruise dropped off my bags and returned around 3pm. I asked if my room was ready and was told flatly, “No, 4pm.” Out of curiosity, I went up to check (my elevator code didn't work; another guest helped out) —my room was clearly ready, just locked. I had to wait in the lobby a whole extra hour for no reason. Not being flexible—even by 15 minutes—felt unnecessarily rigid. Room Vibe: The rooms felt barren—just the bare essentials. The suite didn’t even have a TV in the living area, to my surprise. The kitchen in the suite felt a little dated, and there were only a few paper plates & plastic silverware in the cabinets. However, the bathrooms were quite nice. Pool Area: There had zero shade. I planned to relax at the pool after my cruise, but ended up skipping it because there was nowhere to escape the sun. Overall, it’s not a bad hotel, especially for the price, but I would've rather stayed at one of the other hotels nearby for a few more dollars.

What can I say about this hotel… Me and my husband recently stayed here and I must say the room was nice. But it would’ve been nicer. If I received the room that I booked. Imagine booking a king bedroom balcony, and when you finally get to check in at 4 PM finding out that you are staying in a double queen bedroom with no balcony. Let’s keep in mind that before I entered the room. I had interacted with front desk on three occasions And no one felt the need to tell me that my room had been downgraded. Apparently a high-level Marriott member had reached out and need a room. So a paying customer just like me had to Get their room downgraded Because I am not considered high level.. Apparently Sonder has took on the Marriott way because they have been bought out. There is nowhere online where you book that states that a high-level member can out book you. It’s basically a secret. I think it is the worst policy that company could go by. I’m A paying customer too. I also was told that if the room was a problem that they could refund me and I can book somewhere else. Imagine having to cancel a reservation at 5 PM just to find a new Hotel that could be potentially more and cost or overbooked as well. My husband and I just stayed a night as to not feeling that we should have to look at booking a new hotel at the last minute. We were only there for Half of a day pretty much. But I still feel that The whole situation was wrong. I feel that Sonder Should take accountability on their end

Disappointed in the reception process. Receptionist at the desk acted like we were putting her out. Talked very little and very quiet. In fact I swear she rolled her eyes at me and started picking at her eyelashes. Also the room was not equipped with hand towels for a shower mat. Only 3 bath towels for 2. However the restaurant “Olivia’s” at the hotel was very delicious and friendly.
