Our room was clean and had comfortable beds. Parking was convenient. The breakfast included with the stay was delicious. It is not the most modern looking hotel, but it was a good stay on our trip to different spots in Newfoundland.

The hotel was very busy as the Forest fire evacuees were all staying in Gander. The staff did a great job during a busy and difficult time. Again, Gander was a haven for people in need.

The Staff in both the hotel and Alcock restaurant were amazing. Very helpful, pleasant manners and never hesitate, even during their busiest times, to ask where you’re from and how you are doing. The housekeeping staff do a wonderful job cleaning. Unfortunately the carpet in the room held all the previous occupants’ oodours. Our room in particular smelled of cigarette smoke and dirty feet!
