I would give 0 stars if I could. After working all day and then driving an hour and a half from our home on a Friday night, we checked in an hour too late and the hotel had canceled our reservation. Nowhere on Expedia's site did it state that our reservation would be canceled if we didn't arrive by 9 PM, and I've never heard of such a thing. I understand that is the hotel's (stupid) policy, but again, this could have been made much more clear in Expedia's info on the hotel. After talking to Expedia on the phone for 30 minutes with no resolution, we drove home at 11 PM and did not get to do what we planned for our weekend in the mountains since we had nowhere to stay. Incredibly frustrated and disappointed. We will never use Expedia again nor stay at an Ameristar property. People have a reservation, travel to your property and you gladly take their money but don't honor the reservation they have. It's disgusting and greedy.

I purchased a suite while my cousins purchased a separate room. I was asleep in the extra room while they were in the suite. I was woken up and informed that we were being kicked out due to noise complaints. I completely understand they were too loud. What I don't understand is how I was not able to be compensated for the remainder of the time we did not stay in the rooms. It's not like they didn't have security cameras where they could see that I wasn't involved in the shenanigans. I'm not upset that we were kicked out. They were too loud. That's fine. The lady didn't bother to accommodate me in the situation at all. We called for a ride and no further incidents followed. What I am disappointed in was the lack of care from the lobby staff regarding the fact that I was woken up at 3AM and told to leave. I truly hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. It was careless and without concern for their guests who weren't involved in the noise complaints.

Would like to see some options for people who arent here forbthe casino experience, but just need a hotel while they are in the area. The biggest amenity which I needed: a self-service laundry facility. I was in town for work and my stay got unexpectedly extended. Unfortunately because I was working during normal hours, I was not able to use the laundry service. And with the limited hours for shopping, I was stuck with the dirty clothes I had on my back for the next day.

The casino offered a wide variety of games. The hotel room was clean and nice. Had an amazing view of the mountains. The only negative thing was the bed was a little stiff for my liking, but far superior to other hotels in the area. The only negative thing I have to say about the hotel is that there are not decent dining options/ vending machine options for late night once all the main restaurants close which I would find beneficial since the casino floor is open all night. Other then that it is one of the nicer places to stay in the area.

Took over two hours to get checked in upon arrival. The hotel claimed it was a city wide internet outage, which was blatantly false. Thought some sort of compensation, or rate adjustment was in order; but that wasn’t the case.

Comfortable and clean rooms.Hot tubs and the pool are great to relax in and the casino is fun. My check in is always fast and customer service is very helpful in check in. I always enjoy my stay at the Ameristar.
