Room was updated, clean overall. Staff was very friendly, the location of hotel is key to why most stay here. Parking was good, but very busy on Saturday night when we arrived with few parking spaces available, which is expected for the weekend crowd. Sunday evening through Thursday there were plenty of parking spaces available. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping or ice cream parlors were very close. Walk to downtown circle, etc. was not that far, roughly 10 minutes or so. Hotel was close to most of the battlefield, visitor center and Evergreen cemetery. Did notice a decent size gap in bottom of entry door where you could see outside/sunlight, not a main issue to avoid staying here and could be fixed by staff/maintenance. Due to very limited staffing, hotel was not servicing rooms unless it was requested. That did not bother us as we actually enjoyed not having someone in our room while we stayed at the hotel. Our room was in the back side of hotel, was fairly quiet and would more than likely not enjoy staying in the front side of hotel due to road noise, people walking/talking, tours during day and night, etc. Daily breakfast the hotel provided was nice, had everything we needed for a complete meal.
