Really liked the open social space on 2nd floor. Felt comfortable and hip. Didn't feel pressure to have to be using bar etc. Was enough just be a hotel guest. Liked smart design in rooms.

No real selection if tv channels, no movies, this was something offered before and was still advertised when searchrd. Made being in the room more like a prison cell. Not great. Good sleep though very hard to control temperature of the room.

The bathroom door wouldn't close and the thick layer ifdust at the window/bed was disgusting. The staff were also unable to stamp my parking ticket despite advising me to park there costing me more money.

For me, this hotel isn't quite perfect - but the positives far outweigh the negatives. The real negatives are pretty minor - but mainly it is about the ipad controls for the room. It's gimmicky and a bit pointless. It's never going to be quicker to log into an ipad, find the section for say lighting and then adjust it - than just flicking a switch in the room. I guess the idea is that this is modern, but it seems a bit daft when you find there are no USB outlets in the room. I guess I don't mind the idea of a self service check in too - some might gripe - but since I wasn't really sure what I was doing, the receptionist pretty much had to steer me through it anyway, so I guess for frequent users this is great - but for me, again, didn't really add much. With that said though - the room was lovely. I liked the bed, it was comfortable - and crucially, the room was quiet and I got a great sleep. I used the co-working space on the 1st floor and it was great. The wifi is great - I had no problems getting connected, and I was able to do some video calls no problem. Finally, the breakfast was absolutely outstanding. A really great variety with options I think to suit many (I saw vegan croissants!) It was really delicious and about the only thing I can criticise is that were I to stay here too long, I would gain weight. Finally, the staff were all lovely. All were really helpful and professional. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This is definitely a style over substance experience. No in room facilities for making tea/coffee , no drinking water or even a glass to use with the tap water. No ironing facilities to use in the room, you have to stand at the end of the corridor and use one hardwired in to a wall. One lift was out of use but there were no signs telling you this which meant one lift for customers and staff to use which meant long waits at times.

Charged for stay twice? Once on booking and again at hotel check in but different rates? Not great. iPad check in at hotel was poor experience. Great if they work but apparently they don’t (unless you count charging me twice?)
