Room was lovely and spacious and very clean only thing i didnt like was the heating wasnt warm and the room got quite cold at night . There was also a staff christmas party on and we couldnt access the main bar we only got told 1 day prior our stay. There was another small lounge bar which was to busy to sit. So we just sat in our room . Staff where lovely

I appreciate the advance warning on the onsite parties, but didn’t expect to be put out the residents bar at 12 only to go to bed and have to listen to the party going on downstairs for another hour. That is a terrible decision!

We got an e-mail 24 hrs before arriving that the restaurant and bar would be closed to guests due to Christmas parties. There was no discount offered and when we ordered room service as the only option we were charged £7.50 tray charge. The staff on reception simply said there was nothing they could do. The bar opened for guests in a small function room at the rear of the hotel n was far too small for the number of guests wanting to use it. Having arrived back at 11pm following a concert in the hydro there was a queue out as far as the reception to get into the bar. Most people gave up and headed to bed. Really poor service, an indifferent attitude by the team on reception and Christmas party guests prioritised over paying hotel guests. A very poor stay and I will not ever stay at this hotel again when in the area.
