Booked online unexpectedly due to the highway being closed for an accident. Customer service at check in was fine, nothing over the top. Room seemed clean enough but smelled a bit musty. Heads up the walls are paper thin and smokers smoke directly outside their rooms, so the smell of cigarettes is constant throughout your stay.
When deciding to head into town for dinner, we shut our room door and by habit checked to make sure it was locked. The door opened with out use of the room key. We figured, since there’s a key hole in the handle, we must need to lock it from the inside. No, there is no lock. There is a deadbolt that can lock the door from the INSIDE but the door handle has nothing to disengage it. From the outside the door opens. I went to the front desk to see if there was a key or something we are missing about this door. The same front desk clerk acted as though I was an idiot. We asked if there was a key or something to lock the door? She told me no and offered no assistance. I asked if there were any other options and she said no and again offered no help and then said “well no one else has ever brought this up so….” The worst customer service. Do not stay here if you value
Your belongings being locked in a room (room 222). Don’t recommend this place purely based on customer service.
