Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the room was disappointing. There was pet hair everywhere, including on the bathroom towels, and the room had a strong smell of wet animals. The body wash in the shower was empty, and the blinds were torn. The beds however are very comfortable. Check-out was also frustrating, taking over 35 minutes because staff weren’t sure how to process the pet fee. While the staff were friendly, they didn’t seem very knowledgeable and didn’t provide much information at check-in or during the stay. On a more positive note, the hotel restaurant was a highlight, great prices, generous portions, and welcoming staff. The Nordic-inspired finishings throughout the hotel are also a nice touch and add a bit of charm. Overall, not a terrible stay, but definitely room for improvement in cleanliness and communication.

Vast improvement! The room was lovely- newly redecorated with clever features including a kitchenette. I will happily stay again. A small complaint is that the lighting and outlets near the bed were not working. Also- it would sure be nice to see the courtyard mowed and tidied up; it’s actually a nicely landscaped area but needs maintenance!

The property's prime is clearly behind it, but the management's effort to preserve its Nordic charm is commendable. A buffet-style breakfast would be preferable—and might also spare guests encounters with staff whose best days seem similarly distant.

I do not have a credit card. The guy at check-in let me use my debit card for the deposit. In the morning at checkout I was told I did not need to get the refund as it will automatically be returned. So I left for the airport. The hotel front desk called me and said I need to be in person, at which time I was waiting for my flight to Toronto. I emailed the manager and never heard back from anyone. To this date they still owe me $150 for deposit. Thanks
