Great place to rest your head

We stayed here on our way through to our destination. From the time we checked in to the time we checked out our experience was great! Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfy bed. We dined at the restaurant on site for supper, they had a sign posted as soon as we walked in letting us know it was under new ownership with new staff and that there may be delays as they are working through the kinks. Our waitress Zoe was fantastic!! She was very attentive and friendly. Overall, this was a great experience and we would definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed the location with view of the falls. Room was a nice size and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony. However, we did find the balcony railings to be a bit unstable. Dinner at the motel restaurant was below par as the food was not very tasty and chicken was overcooked. Very disappointed that the restaurant was not open at 6:00 am as time posted on the door and also was confirmed by a staff when asked the evening before if it would be open. One of the reasons we chose your motel was the complimentary breakfast and early restaurant hour as we had a 8 hour drive back home. We decided to leave at 7:00 am when a staff person came running to open the motel registration office. She said the cook was not coming in....very disappointing. We understand that this motel is undergoing new management and staff but still not an excuse for not offering the services as stated. We will not be returning and will not be recommending Hill Top to our friends.

Pleasantly surprised, very clean and comfy

It's an older type hotel/motel but has been remodeled and is VERY clean (hospital grade disinfectants used). Right next to the falls and walking trails. Breaky was delicious (not included but fairly priced)

On balance a great spot to be, view, food staff!

The staff at check in was spot on, the restaurant staff was over the top helpful...and the food, was not expecting the taste, quality and presentation at a 'older' hotel property... Supper was darn good. Breakfast was exceptional... and a lot of it. Downside? the bed creaks and groans, pillows were soo thick, but I still got a respectable sleep. [ the old adage of hotel sleeps came to mind~ its either horrible or the best you ever had.. this was the unicorn of in the middle, def will stay their again.. staff, and restaurant apart from view and location, were excellent!
